Ernest Miller Hemingway

Ernest Hemingway (July twenty-one, 1899 – July 2, 1961) was a north american author and journalist. His economical and understated style had a strong influence on 20th-century fiction, when his life of adventure and his public graphic influenced after generations. Hemingway produced most of his operate between the mid-1920s and the mid-1950s, and earned the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1954. This individual published eight novels, 6 short tale collections, and two non-fiction works. Three novels, several collections of short tales, and three nonfiction works were published posthumously. A number of these are considered timeless classics of American literature. Hemingway grew up in Oak Area, Illinois. Following high school he reported for some months for The Kansas City Celebrity, before going out of for the Italian front to enlist with the World War I secours drivers. In 1918, he was seriously wounded and went back home. His wartime activities formed the basis for his novel A Farewell to Forearms. In 1922, he married Hadley Richardson, the first of his four wives. The few moved to Paris, where he proved helpful as a foreign correspondent, and fell under the influence of the modernist writers and artists in the 1920s " Lost Generation" expatriate community.  The Sunshine Also Increases, Hemingway's initially novel, was published in 1926. After his 1927 divorce by Hadley Richardson, Hemingway married Pauline Pfeiffer. They will divorced after he went back from the Spanish Civil War where he had recently been a journalist, and after which in turn he wrote For Whom the Bell Tolls.  Martha Gellhorn became his third wife in 1940. They separated if he met Mary Welsh in London during World War II. He was present at the Normandy Landings and the liberation of Rome. Shortly after the publication of The Old Man plus the Sea in 1952, Hemingway continued safari to Africa, in which he was practically killed in two effective plane crashes that remaining him in pain or ill well being for much of the rest of his life.
